As part of my clinical counseling activities, I had to learn how to overcome the imprinting done to many of my patients who suffered from phobias and neurosis caused by the psychological abuse done to them by family, friends and community. Phobia is an extremely common anxiety disorder, which affects many people. The phobia can range from understandable to just plain weird, unusual and incomprehensible! However, now we can effectively treat phobia with hypnotherapy techniques designed to be individual-specific. Much of the treatment involves gradual exposure therapy, relaxation techniques, breathing techniques, cue-control relaxation and education about how phobia works. The results are very often even better than expected!
